How to play The Personal Detail
Spot the detail that makes an ordinary pattern personal. Look across a field of similar tokens and find the differently shaped one. The puzzle rewards careful observation of a visible detail, without assigning meaning to the people playing.
Your starting point
Spot the detail that makes an ordinary pattern personal.
The rules
Scan the tokens and tap the one with a different shape. Compare outlines rather than relying only on colour; the odd token is visually distinct.
A helpful approach
Scan the board in a consistent direction. Compare the outline of each token, and take a second look before deciding which one differs. Choose a small personal detail that fits the existing relationship, while keeping intimate information out of a public link.
After the game
What detail did you overlook at first and notice on a second look? What ordinary detail would show someone you thought of them without asking them to return a particular feeling?
There is no need to turn a small moment into a perfect performance. Play again if you want to explore it, or leave it here and take the thought into your day.
The feeling behind it
Warmth can be romantic, friendly, familial or quietly personal. Choose words that fit the relationship and leave room for consent.
Carved keepsakes inspire personal attention. Lovespoons are a craft tradition; our digital gifts do not imitate their symbolic designs.
Read our affection story, inspired by Welsh lovespoons in Wales. The Visit Wales: Traditional Welsh craft activities provides the source context.
