How to play Follow the Evidence

Use the displayed evidence to choose the next direction. Follow a displayed arrow sequence using the direction controls. Each turn gives you one clear choice, forming a short imaginary route around the feeling you have selected.

Your starting point

Use the displayed evidence to choose the next direction.

The word palette: look · test · ask · notice · explore · clue · puzzle · discover.

The rules

Read the displayed arrow sequence. Press the direction controls in that exact order, one arrow at a time. Use the feedback to correct a new attempt.

A helpful approach

Read each arrow in order and connect it with its matching control. Treat the route as a sequence of small turns instead of one large guess. Separate what you actually observe from the explanation you are tempted to add before you have evidence.

After the game

What makes a next step easier to take when a whole route feels uncertain? What question could you ask about an everyday object that you normally pass without a second thought?

There is no need to turn a small moment into a perfect performance. Play again if you want to explore it, or leave it here and take the thought into your day.

The feeling behind it

Notice, ask, test and look again. You can enjoy not knowing something yet without racing to sound certain.

A museum learning approach inspires inquiry. It is an educational practice, not a national personality trait.
